“What you give your attention to, grows.”
– Deepak Chopra
We know this, but it can still be a challenge to dedicate time and money for financial services when there are so many other ways to spend our hard-earned cash. In my humble opinion, no business is too small to have a clean, accurate, reliable set of books…. especially if your goal is to grow, keep your business finances compliant, maximize year-end deductions, and generally stay in touch with the financial health of your business.
Services
My fees are based on value, not time. Each set of books presents a unique set of needs and challenges. Typically, I charge an hourly fee for onboarding, setup & cleanup; and a flat fee for monthly maintenance. For clients who’s time requirements vary greatly from month-to-month, I often charge by the hour.

Monthly Bookkeeping
It is my intention that my clients experience a sense of calm and confidence around their bookkeeping. We’ll work together to keep your books current & compliant, minimize the time you spend on bookkeeping tasks, maximize deductions, and generate reports that you can trust.

Quick Review
In this complimentary session, we’ll do a quick review of your existing QuickBooks Online (QBO) file together. We’ll look at some basic reports and several key areas in QBO to check for common errors and make sure the books are current. Please note that this is not a full review of the entire bookkeeping file. I will provide a short write-up of our review at the end of this call for you to take action and make any necessary corrections to the file.

Weekly Group ‘Money Dates’
It’s often difficult for busy entrepreneurs to fine the time to pay bills, invoice clients, organize receipts, catch up on uncategorized transactions, fiddle with budgets and cash flow, and tend to the many other money-related tasks that add up during the month. In the spirit of dedicating time, focus and energy to your money, this is an opportunity to set aside a consistent block of time – just one hour – each week. No interruptions. No distractions. Just a quiet, supportive community to keep you accountable and help you stay focused on your money.
Join us Thursday evenings at 5:15 for an hour of quiet time to give your finances some love. We’ll work (with mics off) for approximately one hour, and end with a few minutes of optional community time to chat & say hello. You are always welcome to arrive late and leave early to accommodate your schedule.

Cashflow Planning
Cash flow offers a different look at your money than bookkeeping does. While bookkeeping gives us a historical “rear-view mirror” look at what’s already transpired, cash flow helps us plan ahead for an upcoming month, quarter or year to guide our decision-making and make adjustments based on our goals.
We can work on business or personal cash flow, depending on your needs. A commitment of four sessions, used over 5 weeks will is needed to train you to get set up and begin to manage your own cash flow using the Money Grit platform.
Do Your Own Books
Designed for small service-based business owners who have very simple bookkeeping requirements (fewer than 20 monthly transactions) and want to DIY their books, I offer the following services using QuickBooks Online (QBO).
minimum of 5 sessions
Basic Training Package
This is a series of five consecutive 45-minute sessions designed to give you the basics – enough to handle a simple bookkeeping file in QuickBooks Online. You’ll learn a 5-step process for handling your own books. A package of 5 sessions used within 8 weeks optimizes learning.
I’ve discovered that “one-off” or “as needed” training sessions can be counterproductive because weeks (or months) can go by, and clients are tempted to figure out QuickBooks on their own. By the time we meet again, the books are either very behind, or very messy. This doesn’t serve either of us. I want you to WIN!
It is my sincere wish to serve small business owners who value a clean set of books, genuinely want to understand their business finances, and are willing to put in the work to do their own bookkeeping every month using the 5-step bookkeeping process.
Training includes:
Session 1 – We’ll discuss your bookkeeping needs to guide your initial QBO set-up (after which, I will set up the books to prepare for your training.)
Session 2 – How to handle Money Out transactions – such as expenses, draws/distributions, transfers.
Session 3 – How to handle Money In transactions – such as income, contributions, refunds & other deposits.
Session 4 – Account reconciliation, how to review your reports, closing the books.
Session 5 – This final session will answer your questions, assist you with other items you may need. This session can optionally be used for a quarterly review.
flat fee per quarter
Periodic Review
This is a periodic review (usually done quarterly) of your bookkeeping file to make sure things are on track. We’ll review your reports and some key areas of QBO to make sure there are no underlying issues impacting your reports and that you’re properly managing your transactions.
Please note that your books must be complete and reconciled through the quarter-end before we meet.
At the end of the session, you’ll have a list of items to update, and/or questions for your accountant to wrap-up the end of your quarter or year.
Quarterly reviews are typically done in:
April (for 1st QTR: Jan to March)
July (for 2nd QTR: April to June)
October (for the 3rd QTR: July to Sept.)
Flat fee per Session
Annual Review
For folks who don’t want to do a quarterly review (because you’re confident that everything is on track) we’ll review your General Ledger (GL), Income Statement, and other key areas of QBO to check for common errors. The Annual Review is 1 session for 1 to 2 hours as needed. Additional time will be billed at my regular hourly rate.
At the end of the session, you’ll have a list of items to do, and/or questions for your accountant to wrap-up at the end of your year.
